If Angels Are Demons?

Why do UFO's stop us from blowing each other up? UFO's shoot beams of light at our war heads after they've been shot in the sky. These beams of light disable the war heads. If the aliens were demons it seems like they would just delight in doing nothing and watching us blow up.
