World of Warcraft, which class should I reroll to?

So, I quit WoW a while back and recently started playing again. I was planning on just having my pally for my main and using holy in pvp and ret for pve. But I heard from most people that ret sucks now. So, I am trying to find a good class that dishes out a lot of damage in both pvp and pve. What would any of you experienced WoW players recommend I reroll to?
